Auld Lang Syne to the past year and all ready for new beginnings!

This time of the year always comes too quickly; after the giddiness of celebrating Christmas with joy and laughter swirling around gifts and good food, you suddenly have a jolt of soberness when Dec 26 comes around and you are left with a few days to reflect on what the following New Year can bring.
I usually feel a little more contemplative than usual during the end moments of the Year. What always comes to mind first are the pains, the struggles, the alchemizing growth I had gone through the year before. Last year was the most significant because I did so much deconditioning, so much shadow work within myself and that came along with many dark nights of my soul, but amidst during those nights, the subtle illuminating of an enlightened pathway emerged and somehow (I didn’t have a special moment for this) I saw myself differently. I saw relationships that didn’t nourish me and cut them off, I saw projects and work that didn’t light me up and ended them, I saw my energetic leaks and set clearer boundaries when it comes to energy engagement. I saw habits that weren’t supporting the version I aimed to become and took intentional actions to improve them little by little.
Lo and behold, soulful magic happened.
I saw how I rose like a Phoenix from the ashes of being lost, feeling like a floating soul with aimlessness - soul-shifting into my higher self of Clarity, Inner Peace, Alignment, and Light. My Quantum Leap journey had begun and I am utterly grateful for those dark moments because then, I started to remember all the joyful moments of this Year - Making new soulful connections, deeper understanding of my energetic design, and embracing my energetic gifts, and most impactful of all, I started creating again. My creativity that I have hidden for so long - it all came out during this soul alchemy process. I started having joy of being creative, I couldn’t wait to create and to add more Love and Light into this world with my intuitive and creative gifts, thus it led me to create The Awakened Fempreneur.
“Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself” - George Bernard Shaw
As I take meaningful time to surrender myself to this New Year - I honestly don’t know what lies ahead and there’s always fear to be doing something new, different and perhaps to many others, they do not understand my actions - But my Being is so lighted up by this journey that I am on, and I know, that is all that matters. I am so game to take on this aligned Adventure and let the Universe lead me to enter into the New Year with an open heart and to just receive while I have fun creating, and share my intuitive gifts with people who need it most.
Here’s what I usually do on the last day of the Year (It’s super memorable too because it’s my older son’s birthday - It will always be a day that symbolizes Rebirth to me; the first time I experienced Motherhood - it was a rebirthing moment for me to understand Love differently. More on this in a future post) to welcome the New Year, intentionally with this New Beginnings Ritual:

NEW BEGINNINGS RITUAL
Re-centre my heart, soul, and mind by doing a 1 min meditation, setting the intention of releasing and letting go of the energy of the past year and feeling excited, a feeling of expansiveness to welcome the New Year
Lighting up a candle to bring in the mood, with some instrumental calming music playing in the background
Some journaling prompts to help me reflect:
What was the biggest lesson that impacted me that I can apply intentionally in the New Year?
What intentional actions did I take in this past year that I can celebrate as a meaningful win?
What parts of me am I gonna leave behind in this past year because it no longer belongs to the version of me that I am on my way to becoming in this coming New Year? What limiting beliefs can I release?
What do I want so badly that it hurts in this coming New Year? What's my key desire for the year ahead?
And because I want it so badly that it hurts, what version of Me does it require for me to inch closer to this desire of mine?
What is my overall Focus/Intention for this New Year? (My keyword for this coming New Year is ELEVATE)
What key areas of my life do I want to improve or evolve?
What are 3 things I would want to see achieved at the end of the New Year?
How do I want to feel when I look back on the last day of the New Year, on what I have achieved and accomplished
I end this by writing a letter to my future self, dated 31 Dec of the New Year (you can use https://www.futureme.org/ for this)
You can also create a Vision Board to visualize all of your desires in the New Year and do a simple visualization meditation after doing it (close your eyes and imagine yourself one year from now. Visualize every detail of your surroundings, achievements, and emotions.)
And if you want even more gusto to the above ritual, enlisting Chatgpt’s help can be useful too!
A ChatGPT prompt that you can use:
“ChatGPT, my key goals for this New Year are <<your goals>> and the key areas of my life that I want to improve on and evolve towards the better version of me are <<your key areas of life you want to improve on>>. My ideal day in this New Year goes like this - <<Describe your ideal day as detailed as possible>>. Can you help me prioritize these key goals and suggest actionable steps and practical strategies to achieve them?”
I hope all or some of the above can help you in living the life you truly deserve in this coming New Year. May you unearth more of the magical You, may you be filled with the Light you were meant to shine, and may you have an amazing year ahead.
